Truck driver dead after Highway 5 crash in western Quebec

Driver, 41, struck overpass at Hautes Plaines exit in Chelsea

The driver of a dump truck has died after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 5 in Chelsea, Que.

Quebec provincial police say the truck struck an overpass on Sunday morning and crashed near the Hautes Plaines exit, just north of Gatineau.

The man, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hautes Plaines off-ramp remains closed for the police investigation.
