Suspect, 17, faces charge of attempted murder and robbery

Ottawa police have charged three people connected to a shooting incident on Morisset Avenue that sent one person to hospital.
Just before 7 a.m. Saturday, police responded to several 911 calls for an incident on Morisset near Caldwell Avenue in the city's Carlington area.
Residents reported hearing gunshots and when officers arrived, they found one victim inside 1416 Morisset with injuries to his face, suffered in an alleged assault.
Insp. Mike Maloney said a man was robbed and assaulted while at a party inside the residence. He also said shell casings were found along the street
Late Saturday, a police news release said a gun had been found inside 1411 Morisset where the three suspects had reportedly been hiding and later arrested.
Teen faces attempted murder charge
Police charged a 25-year-old man with 11 firearms-related offences and a 28-year-old woman with eight firearms-related offences and one count of failing to comply with conditions.
Police also charged a 17-year-old with eight firearms-related offences and one count each of attempted murder, robbery, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with conditions.
Police have not said whether the incident is gang-related.

This is the third reported case of shots fired in Ottawa in 2015.
On Jan. 10, a man was shot in the back twice on Riga Private in the Ritchie neighbourhood. That was considered gang-related. On Jan. 15, police investigated a report of shots fired into a home in the city's Overbrook neighbourhood.
